Cosplay is a combination of the words “costume” and “play”. At its core, it’s about people dressing up as their favorite characters from all kinds of movies, television, books, comics, etc. and acting as them.

I have a possible etiquette tip for you I hope you will use! I work in a lot of anime convention Artist Alleys, and I love seeing cosplayers. I just hate it when they use my table space as a place to dump their things. If someone asks you for a picture in the middle of Artist Alley, don’t just turn to the nearest table and throw your food, drinks, and bags on it. That artist paid for that space, and you’re covering up and possibly ruining their merchandise. I’ve had people leave ringmarks on my art because they put a cold drink on it without thinking, and watched as my friend had her half table display knocked over because of one rude person with a big bag. I know a nearby table is a tempting place to set your stuff down for a moment, but please, just put your bags on the floor!
I felt as if I needed to put the full submission down for everyone to read. It’s really quite upsetting that people would be so inconsiderate!

Hello there, everyone! Sorry for vanishing on you all. I’ve put some things into the queue, so those should start up early tomorrow. There have been a few conventions in the last few months, so don’t be afraid to submit something to us! Stories, tips, things that irked you (we can turn them into a tip!), questions, etc!

Sorry for the lack of activity as of late!
The queue ran out and I’ve been so busy with rl, I haven’t had the chance to sit down and come up with tips, and when I have had time all I’ve wanted to do is do nothing. “orz I’m so sorry!
We’ll be sure to try and get some more posts up this weekend, and for those who have submitted things between the last post and now, we’ve gotten it—it’s just got to be put into the proper tip format! Nix is usually the one who does it (seeing as how I lack Photoshop), and she doesn’t seem to be online right now, so it’ll have to wait until she’s back. In the meantime, since I’m feeling rather productive, I’ll probably stop being lazy.
Again, we really love submissions! Con stories, ideas for tips, suggestions, the whole nine yards. Whatever you want to throw at us is fine, even fandom specific things! The only exception is we don’t accept personal vendetta posts or posts that slander fandoms/cosplayers. Those will be deleted without remorse. Simple complaints, though, are fine. Just throw them in the ask or submit boxes.
